Validation and Verification
All SENS International’s climate protection projects are implemented in terms of the Swiss Charter. Emission reductions which are certified as Swiss Charter Units and placed on the voluntary market have actually occurred in real terms. The foundation’s SCPI label guarantees this on the basis of reports from accredited, external and independent Designated Operational Entities (DOE).
The methodologies submitted under the Swiss Charter are undergoing double validation and the emission reductions are verified. The only accepted validators are those Designated Operational Entities (DOE) accredited under the UN CDM programme. They audit the project in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss Charter.
The certification bodies SGS and TÜV Rheinland have qualified as DOEs for the pioneering project in Brazil.
